Hervey Bay Observations (06:49:50 am) English (UK)

Categories: News

Well this weekend on Sunday the 6th January
We headed to the Sea Front in Hervey Bay to get out on the kayaks with a number of friends and a few MMOs just for some fun and a bit of exercise!
It always happens when you least expect it! after a work out kayaking to the pier and back between us we spotted................

• Our first turtle fledgling, it briefly came to the surface and disappeared as quick as it came! ;D
• Flying fish, there were a number that a few of us saw, flying singularly
• A couple of huge Sea Bass, which were avoiding the fishermen on the beach quite well :D
• And some of the girls spotted a pod of dolphins but we had to leave before they got back so we were not sure of the ID, but locally we have bottlenose dolphins and Indo pacific humpbacks that come into the bay to feed

All in all it was a great day, even though i managed to get some very nice blisters on my thumbs!
Note to self buy neoprene gloves for next outing!
So has anyone else been out seeing what is just around them?
Come on! Tell us about it, otherwise it will get very boring just hearing my tales 88|
